As designers, we are asked to wear many hats. My favorite hats include the biologist and the innovator. I get my inspiration by asking how nature solves its problems and am driven by revolutionary design concepts that challenge the way we think about medical products.
Our personal and professional experiences shape our theories. My personal experiences have taken me to rooftops in villages in Rajasthan, India to enjoying the beaches of Sydney, Australia. My professional experiences have taken me to New York City, South Carolina, Baltimore, and now Providence, Rhode Island where I design medical products for Ximedica.
I am passionate about sketching and using it as a communication tool. It is the universal language of ideation and collaboration and I spend time everyday refining this skill. I am comfortable with most design software and am a fast learner. In the inspiring words of Richard Seymour, I believe that “good design is not about what we can do, its about what we should do".
